Thank you for sending me samples of your work.
Having examined a few of them, I find that your Thai is not the natural and idiomatic speech of Thais, but a mechanical, wooden-sounding
reproduction of English speech forms – the sort of thing I myself might write if I did not have a Thai wife and children to correct me.
Thus, “knocking off” a sum of money, i.e. a discount, is not conveyed by your unnatural expression of “ko’ raka”. Thais do not say that,
or understand what that means if they hear it. And there are many other examples of the same lack of felicity in the brief sample of the
work you sent me – examples I am able to recognize myself after living in Thailand for only 16 years.
Therefore, I regret to say, you do not, and probably will never, meet the standards required by Redmondian Insight Enterprises.
